The Independent Investigations Office says it’s finished a report into the death of Tony Du, and it will be up to Crown to decide if charges should be laid.
Du died during an altercation with Vancouver Police in November of 2014.
Officials responded to calls about a man acting erratically near East 41st and Knight Street in Vancouver.
When they arrived, Du was said to be holding a two-by-four piece of wood, and would not calm down.
An altercation took place, and Du was shot.
He did not survive.
