BC Hydro will be coming under more scrutiny as B.C.’s Auditor General announces which projects will be coming under her watch.
That brings the total to 56 over the next three years, which now includes the rate-regulated accounting at BC Hydro and continuing to monitor the Site C dam.
But what exactly is to be covered for both is “yet to be determined,” according to the report released today.
Auditor General Carol Bellringer says they have done more work on this “than it looks.”
“We’ve certainly done quite a lot of planning on that one, we haven’t made a final determination as to which aspect they’re going to look at.”
As to what they’ve looked at so far, Bellringer says the Auditor General Act doesn’t allow release of the reports until it goes through the legislature.
The Auditor General will also be examining the independent B.C. Utilities Commission.
