A woman is taking BC Ferries to court, alleging she was wrongfully fired for drinking on the job.
Susanne Rheinschmitt-Huen claims she lost her job as Chief Steward after her employers wrongfully claimed she had consumed alcohol, and invited a colleague to join her.
In a letter in court documents, BC Ferries claims she was seen purchasing and drinking the alcohol while on board the Queen of Surrey.
51-year-old Huen, who worked with BC Ferries for 23 years, denies it happened, and is suing the transport company for a year’s salary.
None of these allegations has been proven in court.
