Fido’s favourite playground could be getting a makeover, as the Vancouver Park Board kicks off consultations on a new Dog Park Review.
Park Board Chair Sarah Kirby-Yung says the review will cover all aspects of dogs in the City’s parks.
“So it’s everything from you know, where is the pet population and where are the dog areas, so are we under-served. It also includes the design of those facilities, how do you make them great spaces for people and dogs, what sort of enforcement strategies to do we need and what sort of signage so that people understand good etiquette.”
Kirby-Yung says the City wants to hear from dog owners, along with those who have concerns.
An online survey is now live on the City’s website, with a report due this spring.
