The numbers are in and it looks like 2016 was a record-breaking year for camping in B.C.
More than 182,000 camping reservations were made in B.C. during the season.
That is a 16 per cent increase from last year.
The Ministry of Environment says they are working closely with service providers, park operators and the public to ensure policies in place meet customer’s needs.
BC Parks will be conducting an annual review and announce policy changes for 2017 by this fall.
Two of the items being discussed will be the online reservation system and the number of campsites available.
The Ministry came under fire earlier this year after people complained campgrounds were fully booked before the season had started.
Others complaint about campsite scalpers, where people began selling their campsite reservations.
