BC Hydro crews are now on site in the Peace Region after lightning interfered with their transmission system, and say they’ve restored power for 24,000 customers.
The outage hit at least 25,000 customers initially, which was later updated to 34,000.
That includes 3,000 BC Hydro customers in Dawson Creek.
