The Pattullo Bridge will reopen to four-lane traffic Monday the 29th of August, a month ahead of schedule.
TransLink says the move comes with crews set to wrap up deck maintenance on the 79-year-old span, though work will continue below the bridge deck throughout the fall.
The bridge will return to its regular night-time schedule of lane closures, with one open in each direction overnight.

Construction had originally been slated to wrap on October 3rd, but the transit authority says it was able to get ahead of schedule by penning in extra weekend and overnight closures.
TransLink CEO Kevin Desmond says workers also took advantage of hot weather this month.
“June and July were wetter than normal and when you’re doing concrete work, wet can really slow you down.”
The repairs are intended to stretch out the life of the aging bridge deck, with plans for a replacement expected to take up to seven years says Desmond.
“We’re working with the federal and provincial government. It’s absolutely essential that we get that financing in place within the next year so we can have a replacement bridge by 2023.”
TransLink says they expect the $12-million allocated for the fixes to be at or below cost.
