Earlier this week, CKNW brought you a story of a Metro Vancouver Realtor who claims she was cut out by her employer New Coast Realty for refusing to pressure clients to accept low offers to shadow flip, in return for more commission.
After Morning Yu refused to dabble in unethical actions, she claims she was eventually dismissed by owner Ze Yu Wu.
Now Yu’s lawyer Wayne Ryan says he’s aware of other former realtors who were forced to shadow flip.
“I have at this point six notices of claim against that company.”
For now, the company is still buying and selling real estate but Ryan says trouble may be on the way for New Coast Realty.
“Based on the evidence. They’re considering removing the brokerage license.”
More employees forced to make shady deals
Ryan says there are more people like Yu, coached and forced to make shady deals, giving clients the lower end of the sale.
Like Yu, they claim they were forced out.
“I’m aware of 11, at least eleven. I have contact with six of them and I expect to have contact with the remaining five.”
Ryan says those who refused to dabble in shady practices, had their commissions held back.
“I want to see them get paid for the work that they did, I want real Estate Council to step in and close New Coast Down.”
Morning Yu is suing New Coast for $200,000 in withheld commission.
None of the claims have been proven in court.
Ryan was speaking on the Steele and Drex Show.
