More trouble for an NDP MLA’s constituency assistant accused of stealing money from his office.
Former government employee Marnie Offman is facing a pair of new charges, two new counts of theft over five thousand dollars and fraud over five thousand dollars.
In an email, special prosecutor Dirk Ryneveld confirms the new charges are on top of a pair of charges for the same offences, along with uttering forged documents.
Offman had worked as a constituency assistant for NDP Education Critic Rob Fleming.
She’s due back in court September 7th.
The amount of money allegedly stolen remains unknown.
