North Shore rescue have recovered a hiker up on Coliseum Mountain.
Mike Danks with NSR says the call came in at approximately 1:40 p.m. that a 47-year-old man was having seizures and had to be air-lifted down.
“This individual was prepared, he was a fit person and had hydrated and had lots of snacks all day so we’re not sure what the root cause of all this was.”
Danks says the rescue was a group effort with Metro Vancouver Rangers and Talon Helicopters.
“We did a quick assessment on the patient and packaged him on a stretcher, and was transported to a waiting BC Ambulance.”
Danks says despite having seizures, the hiker was prepared, physically fit, and had kept himself hydrated.
