Five people have been charged, including a young offender, who cannot be named.
They have all been charged with 1-2 counts each of conspiracy to commit an indictable offence with firearms.
Assistant Commissioner Bill Fordy says the majority arrested are young men, ranging in age from 18 to 24.
“We were able to intervene and prevent a drive-by shooting from occurring and we subsequently arrested the individuals involved in that particular incident.”

Surrey Mayor Linda Hepner thanks locals for their patience as bullets fly in their neighbourhoods.
“It is with a heavy heart that I say we are here again but it is with a joyful heart that I’m saying we’ve made some significant progress.”
There have been at least 50 shootings in Surrey this year.
Police say since March, they’ve made 30 arrests and seized 15 firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
