The victim of a fatal stabbing on the afternoon of August 7th has been identified as 55 year old Robert Harold Vidovich.
According to a release by Coquitlam RCMP, just after 3:15 p.m. officers were called to the 2000 block of Lougheed Hwy, Port Coquitlam for an altercation outside of a local pub.
Vidovich was treated at the scene and taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has released that the suspect appears to have fled on foot following the stabbing, and remains outstanding.
The male suspect was described as Caucasian possibly wearing all black hoodie, pants and backpack, about 5’8” to 5’10”, and weighing 150 lbs.
Cpl. Meghan Foster says IHIT is continuing to work alongside Coquitlam RCMP, Forensics and the Coroner.
Investigators are attempting to determine a specific motive, however, the investigation remains in its early stages and it is unclear if Vidovich knew his attacker.
