A Surrey based property manager has been stripped of her license after she continued showing rental suites while under a 30-day suspension.
The Real Estate Council of BC says Denise Decary was under suspension between July 6th and August 4th for misconduct.
In a consent order Denise Decary admitted to failing to disclose defects to tenants before they signed a tenancy agreement.
While under the 30 day suspension she continued to work as a property manager.
The Real Estate council received complaints Decary continued to work, posting listings on Craigslist and taking calls.
Council says the committee determined it was not necessary for Decary to redeem herself and she displayed a deliberate disregard of the suspension order.
Decary’s second suspension took effect August 4, she will be able to re-apply after one year.
She’s asked to pay a penalty of 1500 dollars and to compete a remedial property management course.
