A so-called B.C. “tax protester” has been sentenced to 5.5-years in prison for failing to report income and pay taxes.
The Canada Revenue Agency says Russell Porisky and his wife Elaine Gould didn’t report almost 1.5-million dollars in earnings.
It all came from their company – Paradigm Education Group — which helped teach others how not to pay their taxes.
It was the second trial for the couple from Chilliwack.
They were first convicted in 2012, but it was overturned on appeal.
