Kelowna RCMP are asking for the public’s help about a potential attempted child luring attempt on Wednesday night.
It happened at Ben Lee Park around 8 o’clock; a mother and child were visiting the park when the mother observed a man speaking to her daughter and another unknown six-year-old boy.
That’s when, according to the mother, the man gestured to the daughter with both hands, saying “come here, come here”.
The girl yelled for her mother, who confronted the man who ran from the area.
The man was described as half-Caucasian and half-South Asian, mid 30s to early 40s, six feet tall, and 160 pounds with a medium athletic build and short black hair.
Anyone with info is asked to contact Kelowna RCMP.
