The B.C. Coroner’s Service is now investigating.
Another incident, meanwhile, at Mount Seymour’s Mystery Lake for a technical trail rescue.

Busy afternoon at Buntzen Lake
Meanwhile, Coquitlam Search and Rescue crews were out at Eagle Ridge near Buntzen Lake after a hiker has dislocated their shoulder.
Search Manager Mike Coyle says the hiker was with two friends on the “Dilly Dally” trail.
“We pinged their cell phone with our locating app. As things go, it’s not terrible urgent. There’s lots of time and lots of light.”
Coyle says the hikers were at about the mid-way point of the 20 kilometer trail.
He says it it’s not clear yet how the hiker was hurt.
