It looks like someone has been chosen to spearhead the forensic audit of the Vancouver School Board.
Peter Milburn recently retired as B.C.’s Deputy Minister of Finance.
He, along with Ernst & Young, will be conducting the review.
A balanced budget was due at the end of last month, but it didn’t happen.
Some suggestions were made by B.C.’s Education Minister Mike Bernier to balance its budget, but the school board said no to those.
Instead of firing the board – which Bernier had the power to do – he ordered a forensic audit.
That audit and review are due back to the Ministry of Education by September 30th.
