One man is on the run and another is recovering from stab wounds.
According to a release by Surrey RCMP, officers responded to a report of a stabbing and upon arrival found a man “suffering from several stab related injuries”.
It happened in the area of 132nd street and 100th Avenue.
RCMP Staff Sergeant Dale Carr says that the altercation was between two men in a vehicle.
“One asked the other for a ride and then suddenly an altercation occurred, and the stabbing occurred, and the suspect fled from the vehicle. The victim tried to drive off to take refuge and then ultimately, I believe, became involved in a minor accident.”
Police say the suspect that fled on foot has not been caught. However, they have learned his identity and will be attempting to make an arrest as soon as possible.
The investigation is still in its early stages and investigators remain on scene .
Police say the motive is still unclear and are not ruling drugs out.
