It’s still early in the season but the BC Lions have posted their first loss after Thursday’s game against the Toronto Argonauts.
BC were first on the board, Jennings scoring a touchdown with just 5 and a half minutes left in the first quarter.
Toronto narrowed BC’s lead by half after a field goal from Hajrullahu, eventually closing out the quarter with a BC lead of 6-3.
They’d even the score with another field goal with 6 minutes left in the second, pulling ahead another 3 with yet another field goal with just 4 seconds left before halftime, finishing 9-6.
Toronto continued chipping away in the 3rd quarter, with another two field goals at 8 and 6 and a half minutes left, ending the quarter 15-6.
The Argos pulled even further ahead in the last quarter, with a touchdown halfway through stretching their lead to 22-6.
The Lions narrowed the lead to 22-14 after a touchdown and 2-point conversion with little more than 5 minutes to go.
With yet another field goal, Toronto sealed the deal with 2 minutes to go, the game eventually ending 25-14.
BC will play Saskatchewan next Saturday, in Regina.
