The cause is in the early stages of investigation, but WorkSafeBC says it’s looking into a fire and explosion that’s left one worker injured.
WorkSafeBC’s Trish Knight Chernecki it happened at a recycling plant in the 8000-block of Meadow Avenue in Burnaby on Wednesday morning.
“At 8:45 this morning, the Burnaby Fire Department contacted WorkSafeBC to inform us that there had been an explosion and a fire at recycling plant. They have told us that the fire is out, and there is one patient on the scene, and B.C. Ambulance is responding.”
The worker’s injuries have not been disclosed.
