Drivers of Metro Vancouver, your wallet is about to get a break.
The price of gas for July is expected to dip to its lowest since 2010 across Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, and you might want to wait until 10 tonight to top up your tank.
Dan McTeague with Gasbuddy.com says tonight gas prices will drop faster than the pound sterling after Brexit, hitting a six year July low.
“There will definitely be a four cent a liter decrease, throughout Metro Vancouver and even outside, the entire Lower Mainland, is really in store for a much needed break
after the past 10 days have seen prices move, you know the high 19’s 18’s up to $1.26”
And if you wait till the weekend?
“If it all works out well we could be well below $1.20 within a week.”
But will it last?
“Looks promising for now. It also sets the trend for the rest of the month unless something serious happens with refineries south of the border.”
McTeague credits the dip in price to excess supply from US refineries.
