“Marry Yourself Vancouver” is a new wedding planning and consultation service for solo brides looking to get hitched.
Founder Alexandra Gill says it’s a not a legally-binding marriage, but rather symbolic, to celebrate independence and a commitment to oneself.

Launched last week, she already has her first client.
“We’ve had one woman approach us. She hopes to have a ceremony in August. So, we will be meeting with her soon and talking about her different desires and helping her put it together.”
Last month Gill and six other friends renewed their vows a decade after marrying themselves.
