The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has identified Surrey’s latest homicide victim as 27-year-old Brendan Aditya Chand.
His body was found Sunday in “Bog Park” apparently shot to death, and he was clearly no stranger to police.
Court records show Chand was sentenced to seven years in prison in 2014 for shooting another man in the back.

He had pleaded guilty to shooting Abdul Aleem Khan in Burnaby in March of 2011.
Chand was 22 at the time of the offence and had been serving a sentence in the community for trafficking in a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
He told court at the time of sentencing, he had learned his lesson and hoped to make a better life for himself.
