Cheers, applause and smiles were all around during Vancouver’s Canada Day parade Friday.
A sea of red and white blanketed downtown Vancouver.
People from all over the world celebrated Canada’s 149th anniversary.
Cheers, music and applause resonated through the streets.
The big thing for many revelers, though, was diversity.
“We’re very happy Canada accept different kinds of nationalities. We’re so happy about that.”
“There’s a lot of different cultures so it’s really interesting to see.”
“It’s great that it’s multicultural, and I can see as the crowd is gathering from probably all different places in the world, everyone is here to cheer for Oh Canada.”
“We’re really enjoying and also the different cultures represented in the parade.”
