Highway One has reopened after a wildfire caused bug traffic headaches this afternoon between Hope and Cache Creek.
The four hectare blaze is burning 4 kilometers south of Lytton in the Kumsheen area, and earlier this afternoon forced a complete closure of the stretch of road.
It is suspected to have been human caused.
Drivers headed north or to the interior were asked to take an alternate route.
The alternate through-route southbound is Hwy 97 to Cache Creek, Hwy 1 to Kamloops then Hwy 5, the Coquihalla. The alternate through-route Northbound is Hwy 5 to Kamloops, Hwy 1 to Cache Creek to Hwy 97.
