The B.C. government has sent a new funding proposal to the Vancouver School Board, ahead of tonight’s much-anticipated public meeting.
Board Chair Mike Lombardi says it came in late yesterday afternoon, and the VSB hasn’t had time to consider it yet.
“We had been talking, and the Minister had indicated that he had been hoping to get a proposal. Then we finally did receive a proposal, late late afternoon. I was having dinner, actually.
Lombardi won’t share what the proposal is.
“We’ve asked our staff to provide us an analysis of the proposal, and at a special public meeting at 7 o’clock tonight we will be discussing the item.”
