A massive explosion has leveled a home in Mississauga, Ontario leaving one person dead and several others injured.
25 other houses were damaged in the blast.
It happened around 4:20 this afternoon, and it’s still unclear what caused the house near Dixie and Rathburn Roads to explode.
Global News reports Toronto Emergency Services confirm one fatality, but weren’t able to provide any details about the victim.
It reports a spokesperson for the city confirmed the number of damaged neighbouring homes, and said utilities in the area have been shut off to protect residents and emergency crews while an investigation continues.
No word yet on the severity of the other injuries.
