A police pursuit in Coquitlam has ended with one man and one woman in custody.
Sgt. Darren Pankratz with Coquitlam RCMP says it all began just after midnight, when an officer spotted a vehicle driving erratically over the Port Mann Bridge, and heading towards Surrey.
He says the driver did a U-turn on the bridge, drove back, pursued the suspect vehicle, which, at times, was driving in the wrong lane.
The vehicle eventually ended up in Coquitlam, and was stopped with a spike belt on the Mary Hill Bypass, close to the Pitt River Bridge near Fremont.
Sgt. Pankratz says the female driver – who is known to police – was uninjured.
The male passenger was injured in the incident.
