Crews are on scene at Nelson and Guildford in Vancouver’s west end where a large tree has fallen into an apartment building.
Howard Normann, Director of Parks Operations says it happened around 4pm, thankfully hurting no one — but causing some damage.
“It would have been a big shock for those people in the building, because some of the branches are right in the windows. So absolutely, a big shock for them.”
Normann says it’s still unclear how the tree came down — as its roots look healthy and the weather was good.
He says the tree will be assessed after it has been safely removed.
