A Vancouver Island father is taking his campaign to Ottawa after his ex-wife allegedly kidnapped their daughter Sofii back in September 2013.
“There isn’t a day, I don’t have thoughts about her,” says Jeff Doyle of his daughter, who was just 7-years-old at the time.
“I just want her to know that I love her and I think about her every moment of every day.”
He’s now turning to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau hoping the PM can work with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto.
“I’ve put my faith in his hands. I’m reaching out to him to do the right thing, to allow me to present my case to him and to show him I have worked hard to reach this point, I want the safe return of my daughter from Mexico.”
Doyle says he’s won 13 cases in Mexico, each time the court ordering the young child to be returned to Canada.
He says Interpol in Mexico says they cannot find the pair despite details of their location on Facebook.
