It was a close call early this morning for residents of a three-storey home in East Vancouver, as they had flee because of a fire.
When firefighters arrived just before midnight in the 1500-block of East 11th Avenue, the house was fully engulfed in flames.
Neighbours tell Global News the homeowner comes and goes frequently, and the house is occupied by numerous tenants.
Battalion Fire Chief Peter Bridge says one person who apparently claimed to live there, fled the scene.
Damage is significant and cause is under investigation.
