Progress is being made in flood-damaged areas of Dawson Creek and Chetwynd.
Transportation Minister Todd Stone, in a release, says five of the six numbered highways closed by the flooding are now open.
He says construction crews are working day and night to rebuild sections of highways and roads.

Highway 29 south opened Saturday evening to single-lane alternating traffic.
Highway 97 south from Pine Pass to Chetwynd will be open to single-lane alternating traffic by the end of the week.
Highway 2 in Dawson Creek is now open to two lanes with traffic control and crews working hard to restore the highway to four lanes by next week.
There are 20 of 38 side roads now open to a minimum of single-lane alternating traffic.
