With the damage done in Dawson Creek and repairs to roads and structures underway, the Premier is expected to tour the area Sunday to get a first hand look at the damage.
418 properties were affected by the flooding after an unprecedented amount of rain in the region shattered over eighty year old records.
Earlier in the week, Premier Christy Clark tweeted that she was thinking of people in northeastern B.C. who were dealing with the tough flooding situation.
Now, she’ll get a first hand look of the damage, including the 15th Street Bridge in Dawson Creek which collapsed during the flooding.
Locals who were affected are able to apply for the province’s Disaster Financial Assistance Program.
