The City of Vancouver says more injunctions will be handed out to shut down pot shops.
Councillor Kerry Jang says the city is clamping down on pot dispensaries who choose to operate past the April 29th deadline.
Last month, 17 injunctions were filed and the city has more lined up.
“That’s had some effect already. Three have closed, or will agree to lose to avoid court action. There’s another ten shops that we will be focusing on and those injunction will go in the end of this month.”
Jang says 353 fines have been handed out but only 51 have been paid so far.
Four more shops are in the process of getting a business license, three of those are compassion clubs.
