I know I always mention books but this month’s Book Club pick wowed me. It’s Peter May’s The Blackhouse, an intriguing Scottish thriller that is the first in a trilogy.
I read all three in two weeks because I couldn’t put them down. They left me wondering, what took me so long to start reading Peter May?
This month’s pick is H is for Hawk by Helen Macdonald, our first nonfiction pick and I’m looking forward to checking it out.
This spring I’ve seen many of my favourite TV shows come to an end. Downton Abbey, The Good Wife and yes, Castle (don’t judge me).
I need a new show but there doesn’t seem to be a lot out there so I’m looking for recommendations. People tell me they can’t believe I’ve never watched The Wire so that’s on the list.
Any other tv recommendations for me?
3.) Fascinating conversation of the week: Ron Shipp
If the name sounds familiar it’s because he is a former LAPD officer who was once good friends with OJ Simpson but testified against him during the murder trial of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. He joined us on The Jon McComb Show this week and talked about his belief in Simpson’s guilt. Riveting stuff.
