A husband and his brother-in-law are hoping the online community will help save the woman they love in her battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
“I never thought I’d be where I am today,” says Shaneel Singh who was diagnosed with MS at the age of 25. “Every day is just the same.”
Now, 11 years later, her condition has deteriorated so rapidly that her husband and brother decided to take matters into their own hands.
They started a GoFundMe campaign to pay for the quarter-million dollar treatment she needs, available only in Mexico.
Singh hopes to attend the Baja Medgate program, where she will undergo a Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency (CCSVI) and stent procedure along with Stem Cell and IV Therapies.
She says she knows there’s no guarantee the treatment will reverse her condition, but things have gotten so bad she’s got high hopes.
“Oh I’m so excited to be going to this, I’m hoping that it will do wonders and maybe feel back to normal.”
With almost $62,000 raised already, she cannot believe the support she’s received.
“I just feel so much love and that people I don’t even know that have donated, just means so much.”
The family is hoping to raise $250,000 for the treatment.
