The man known around the world as “Swirl Face” will be spending more time behind bars.
Christopher Neil served time in Thailand several years ago for a number of sexual offences against children.
Today, Global News reports he’s been sentenced in B.C. Supreme Court in New Westminster to five and a half years in prison.
However, he will only serve 14 months of that, because he gets credit for time served.
Neil returned to Canada in 2012 to find he’d be facing a spate of ten fresh charges against him in relation to sex crimes against children.
He became known as “Swirl Face” when police came across photos of child abuse online, and the man’s face was obscured by a swirl.
Investigators managed to figure out the man in the photos was Neil.
