The provincial government will return to court seeking an injunction to remove the homeless camp set up on the lawn of the Victoria Courthouse.
The move comes after B.C. fire officials declared the camp continues to be a fire hazard.
Deputy minister Rich Coleman says they’ll be seeking another order. He declined multiple requests for an interview.
An attempt to remove the camp on grounds of trespassing was struck down by the BC Supreme Court in April.
Coleman says the fire commissioner report states the fire safety hazard will only get worse.
