A large fire that ripped through a townhouse complex in Saanich destroyed 10 units, displacing a handful of residents.
Officials have deemed the large structure fire suspicious.
Four families are out of their homes after the fire was sparked at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday at a construction site next door to the 4000-block of Cedar Hill Road.
Initially some forty people were evacuated, but Saanich Police say no one was injured in the fire.
Police say the fire was so intense that the siding on neighbouring homes was melted, a Saanich Fire truck sustained heat damage, and flying embers sparked small spot fires in the area.
Emergency social services were called to assist the families with immediate relocation needs.
Police are asking for anyone with information to call their Tipline at 250-475-4356 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
