Surrey RCMP are investigating a hit-and-run crash this morning which could’ve had potentially deadly consequences.
Staff Sergeant Murray Hedderson says it happened around 9:20 this morning in the area of 60th Avenue and King George Boulevard, when a dark-coloured Sedan struck a light pole which fell and crushed the roof.
That’s when the Sedan struck another vehicle, stopped briefly, and then sped away with heavy damage.
Calls to Mounties helped officers track down the vehicle in a nearby alley, and the driver of the car was taken into custody.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
