There appears to be no immediate links between the 23-year-old victim of Vancouver’s third homicide of the year, and the neighbourhood he was found in last night.
Vancouver Police Sgt. Randy Fincham says investigators continue to comb the 500 block of West 27th Avenue.
“There’s no concern that one particular neighbourhood would be targeted for this incident. Why this happened, in this particular quiet street in the City of Vancouver is something that we’ll look at. But it doesn’t seen to be connected to any of the homes in the neighbourhood.”
At around 10:30 last night, police received a call of shots fired in the area.
They arrived to find a man in a silver vehicle with gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
