The B.C. Real Estate Association says year-over-year, this past April saw record housing sales.
Units sold in the province last month were up more than 30% from April of 2015 to 12,969.
Last month’s housing sales also beat March’s record of 12,560 units.
Total sales dollar volume was $9.64 billion in April.
The average residential price in our province was up 17.2% year-over-year – at $743,640.
The Association also notes demand is considered “exceptionally strong” across the southern regions.
It’s attributing the activity in housing purchasing for April to “strong employment growth” numbers.
