The Siphon Creek wildfire, north-east of Fort St. John, has crossed the Alberta border.
Fire Information Officer Emily Epp with B.C. Wildfire Services says it jumped the border at 4:30 Thursday afternoon.
Epp says B.C. fire fighters will fight both on both sides of the border to relieve Alberta fire crews, letting them focus on Fort McMurray.
No word on how far the fire has reached across the border.
Epp says they’ll have a better idea of that later Friday morning.
