For thousands of Grade 12 students, graduation is supposed to be a lifetime opportunity but that isn’t stopping would-be scammers from trying to take advantage.
Grad dresses, tuxedos, tickets, hair appointments, limousines, flowers, photography, altogether the costs of being a graduating Grade 12 student can add up this time of year.
Evan Kelly with the BBB says before you commit to what appears like a deal at rock bottom prices, ask yourself if you’re being scammed.
“We just want to make sure that people are doing their research before they book a lot of these things like limousines, where they’re renting a tuxedo, or setting up beauty appointments or getting flowers, and photographers and the like.”
He says make sure you’re dealing with a reputable company first to ensure your graduation goes off without a hitch.
