A Vancouver man has been charged with assaulting a bus driver on Tuesday.
It happened on the 99 B-Line bus at Alma and Broadway.
A man got on board and had been allegedly verbally harassing waiting passengers and made derogatory remarks.
When the driver asked the man to get off the bus an argument ensued and the man allegedly spat on the driver and punched him in the head twice before leaving the bus.
Vancouver Police soon arrived and tracked down the suspect.
42-year-old Matthew Bristo is well known to police and has been charged with one count of assault.
He’ll make his next court appearance on Wednesday.
