Deas Island RCMP are asking for public help in tracking down a hit-and-run driver who struck a tow-truck driver on the side of Highway 99 Thursday evening.
It happened at 6:40pm on the northbound shoulder of freeway in Delta, near the off ramp from River Road, as the driver was loading a disabled car onto his truck.
The tow-truck’s amber lights were flashing at the time.
Fortunately, that driver suffered only minor injuries.
The suspect vehicle is an an older model, single cab, Ford F150, white in color, with “FORD” in large letters on the tail gate.
