49 heat records were broken around BC Monday – and more could fall Tuesday – as the warm weather continues on the South Coast and the Southern Interior.
“We went on Sunday for about 6 records that were broken to yesterday to about 49. And the potential is there once again to see that number only increase as we keep an eye for today.”
Global BC meteorologist Yvonne Schalle points out Vancouver set a record yesterday, and Kelowna broke a record set back in the year 1900.
Cooler temperatures are coming Thursday.
