Vancouver Police are on the lookout for a man wanted in connection to a stabbing of what’s believed to be an unprovoked attack on a binner last month.
Constable Brian Montague says 33-year-old Adam Ferreira is still at large.
“We are looking for him and there’s a Canada-wide warning for his arrest for aggravated assault.”
The East Vancouver neighbourhood was rocked by the attack, which was a daytime stabbing.
The binner spent a week in hospital with life-threatening injuries but has since been released.
Montague says one of the two men wanted in the attack has been arrested and charge, but VPD want to find Ferreira urgently.
“This is an incident that’s very violent, it’s a random incident. It’s a stranger attack, so it’s of concern to us. We want to be able to take him into custody before has an opportunity to do something silly.”
Ferreira doesn’t have a criminal record, but Montague adds he’s had a number of contacts with police.
