The B.C. Real Estate Association says housing sales in this province for March of 2016 broke record sales previously set in May of 2007.
12,560 residential units were sold last month, compared to the previous record of 11,683.
Total sales dollar volume for last month was $9.69 billion dollars.
The Association also says B.C.’s housing market is being fueled by strong employment numbers, rising wages, and a market increase in migration to this province.
As has been the case for the last while in this province, supply has not been able to keep up with the demand.
