It’s a social media post that’s getting attention.
Vancouver Police social media accounts have shared a gorgeous picture of the coastal mountains.
But some say it’s proof a cop was distracted driving.
“That’s a ticket for distracted driving” was just one of the comments on the VPD’s Facebook page after the photo was posted Wednesday.
But everything isn’t always the way it seems.
Vancouver Police tell CKNW the picture was taken by a civilian passenger, not the officer who was driving.
Distracted driving was the department’s focus last month, when more than 1600 tickets were handed out.
A good haul for the VPD, at each ticket costing a distracted motorist $167 dollars.
